Wilfried Zaha: Roy Hodgson praises Crystal Palace winger after failed exit
Wilfried Zaha proceeds to show the exact same devotion to Crystal Palace since his summer exit that is failed, says Roy Hodgson.
The winger handed in a transfer petition prior to the Premier League transfer window shut, Sky Sports News knows.
Hodgson says Palace were prepared to let Zaha to leave however Everton and Arsenal didn’t meet the Ivory Coast.

“With Wilf, I don’t think anyone was thinking we definitely need to block him since we want our best player still with us” Hodgson said.
“We understood that when a very big offer comes his way along with a far bigger team than Crystal Palace want him, and he’s desperate to proceed, we’re going to need to attempt to do some sort of bargain.
“The unfortunate thing for Wilf is that offer did not come his way out of the type of club that he would want. I believe they have thrashed that side of it and Steve Parish has made it clear to Wilf out.
“Consequently it is not a major issue for me using Wilf coming back, with accepted the situation. As it was here is exactly the same. Since the very first day he’s been mature about that ”
Zaha would have become the second high-profile departure in the Eagles in the summer had he abandoned Selhurst Park, following Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United for 50m.
“It was a simple situation with Aaron Wan-Bissaka,” Hodgson added.
“When it becomes clear that this offer is around the table and he would like to proceed, you react with much more experience than you would when you’re younger.”
