Victor Lindelof: Manchester United defender signs new contract until 2024
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has recently signed a new long-term contract with the team , keeping him at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old Sweden worldwide also has an choice to extend the bargain by a further year.
Lindelof has gone on to make 74 appearances and came in United for a charge in the region of 30m from Benfica in the summer of 2017.
He explained:”Ever since the day that I came at United it’s felt like home. I’ve grown both as a individual and as a participant in the last two years and I am thankful to everyone at the club for their assistance and support.
“I love playing soccer and my aim now will be to help the group to win prizes and refund the fans with their high heeled support.
“I know that everybody at the club shares this vision and will supply everything for Manchester United back into where it belongs.
“I’m still young and know I will improve further but with the help of the boss and his training team, I think that only great things are ahead for this great club.”
Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took control in December, Lindelof has set himself as a first-choice centre-back and begins alongside record-signing Harry Maguire.
Solskjaer added:”Victor has shown himself and has become a very significant part our team. He brings focus about the pitch and I can see he is determined to succeed here and to help this club.
“I’m extremely happy that he has committed his future to Manchester United. We’re all looking forward to working together to deliver the success and get United back to where we all understand the club goes”
