Left-back Joe Jacobson scored twice as Wycombe beat Lincoln 3-1 to move to the very top of League One.
Jacobson scored a 20-yard and then went in via Michael Bostwick on the line.
Next, following 50 minutes had been pulled back on by John Akinde, Jacobson did it direct having Lincoln keeper Josh Vickers conquered.
The victory ensured Wycombe moved in their 132-year history with their highest league position.
Lincoln were missing players due to injury and global responsibility and it showed with Jacobsen’s double giving them a lead throughout, with Wycombe dominating.
Tyler Walker hit a post soon following the men of Danny Cowley pulled themselves back into the game but there was controversy.
Wycombe’s Matt Bloomfield along with the Bruno Andrade of Lincoln were inside the penalty area with head injuries but play as half-time sub Akinde converted Jorge Grant’s cross.
Bloomfield was down to the ground for nine minutes before being stretchered off, however it is understood he did not need to visit hospital.
Following Jacobson Wycombe came close to a fourth during 13 moments of injury time with Nick Freeman’s processor coming straight back off the bar.
