Desert Encounter camp eye third Canadian International

Connections of all Desert Encounter might put their sights on a third Pattison Canadian International victory next year night after the seven-year-old triumphed on Saturday at Woodbine.
Desert Encounter has been a length winner of the Grade One heat last year, had a length to spare with this event over runner Alounak that is German, and when beating fellow British raider Thundering Blue.
The David Simcock-trained gelding has been registering a fourth win on the rebound following Group Three wins at Goodwood, Windsor and Newbury, along with his staff see no reason why Desert Encounter cannot bid to categorize Joshua Tree, whos the only triple winner of this 12-furlong race up to now.
Philip Robinson, racing manager for owner Abdulla Al Mansoori, told www.woodbine.com:It would be lovely (to reunite in 2020). I dare say just as he is for sure, whether hes still a horse that is happy, he will return. He loves it here, why not?
The past three or four races hes just never stopped advancing, hes still improving. You expect it from a four- or five-year-old however I think hes progressing.
Hes enjoying his racing – hes only in a very satisfied place (at) this moment.
Although Joseph OBriens Red Tea was from the framework at the EP Taylor Stakes andrew Baldings Pivoine also contested the International, but had to settle for fourth.
