Solheim Cup: Rory McIlroy sends support message to Team Europe

Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia were one of the stars to record messages of aid before this year’s contest at Gleneagles into Europe’s Solheim Cup team.
Catriona Matthew’s side are trying to win the function for the first time since their record-breaking victory in 2013, with dropped to Team USA of this competition.
Garcia and mcIlroy were a part of the winning Ryder Cup team in Le Golf National last year of Europe, with the group along with a host of other former European players in offering their best wishes to their counterparts.
The duo were joined by the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, former world no 1 Luke Donald and Padraig Harrington – Chairman of Europe’s 2020 Ryder Cup group – in documenting their messages, with the help likely to provide Team Europe a lift ahead of Friday’s opening session.
