Should the Lakers Be Dismissed?

No, the Los Angeles Lakers shouldn’t only be dismissed to acquire the 2019-20 NBA championship because they have their very own star duo that may match up with the Clippers in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. (Side note: How mad are Clippers-Lakers games going to be next year?)
Can it really mean the Lakers need to attempt now to acquire the title? Sure, but that will be easier said than done sitting on their hands for many of free agency whilst awaiting Kawhi Leonard’s choice.
The Lake Show’s supporting cast is really a skip fire in comparison to what the Staples Center roommates can put on the court and unless there are far more veteran buyouts to come on board to the purple and gold (ahem, Andre Iguodala), the truth is that even with LeBron and the Brow, they’re simply outgunned.
I would not touch them right now at +400 to win the name and I really don’t feel bad for some of those suckers who took them in +185 with some sportsbooks if it was projected that they were becoming Kawhi too.
