NASCAR at Watkins Glen Vegas picks and predictions 2018: Fade Kyle Busch, back Clint Bowyer in GoBowling at The Glen
GoBowling in The Glen gets underway Sunday at 3 p.m. ET about the historic road course at Watkins Glen. Kyle Busch is your Vegas favored, getting NASCAR. Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. are each 4-1, with nobody closer than 8-1. Before you lock in your 2018 NASCAR you have to find out exactly what Micah Roberts must say.
As a Vegas bookmaker, Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting. Now he hands winners out for his followers.
Roberts was all over Busch a week at Pocono, pointing to not only his 26 career starts at the trail, but also his motivation to win after a late bump from Harvick per week earlier. Busch rallied for the flag from the place.
Earlier this season, Roberts was all-in on Harvick in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 despite two additional motorists using the same field-leading odds. The result: Harvick dominated, resulting in 181 of 325 laps and cruising to victory by 2.69 minutes.
Also this season, Roberts was very high on Clint Bowyer at the STP 500, where he snapped his 190-race winless streak. And in the Food City 500, he said Busch”owned” Bristol and would come off with the checkered flag — he rallied to complete just .63 minutes ahead of Kyle Larson for the checkered flag.
In the 2017 playoffs, Roberts picked at nine of the 10 winners. There was no fluke he advised readers to back Denny Hamlin in 15-1 in the Daytona 500. The end result: Hamlin edged Truex Jr. for the checkered flag. That year roberts also pinpointed Hamlin to win at Watkins Glen.
Now, he has analyzed the 2018 GoBowling in the Glen area, NASCAR’s second road-track stop this year, from every possible angle and locked in his picks. You can see his whole leaderboard at SportsLine.
We can tell you he’s not choosing Busch to win NASCAR at Watkins Glen 2018 even though four road-course wins under his belt, tops among all active drivers.
One motorist Roberts is high on: Bowyer, who’s getting 12-1 chances for Watkins Glen.
