Saturday ITV Racing Tips & Preview
ONLY SPOOFING ( best cost 15-2) did not look his best when running Chelmsford, however, has been rested for a few weeks. The five-year-old was in cracking form this season racking up a hat-trick of successes in July. His latest win came in Ascot, in which he pulled out from Arecibo near the line. The pair finished a great distance. Arecibo has gone on to complete a third at York.
This is a tricky little race, so I’m not so convinced by some of the market leaders who have trip regarding me and the conditions. Therefore I will take a punt on VICTORY COMMAND (best cost 15-2), a horse that has formerly enjoyed this trip and also running at Beverley. The bit of trimming in the ground shouldn’t be an issue. The 3 year old was not ashamed this month when taking on some fairly decent competition at York and Goodwood.
COUNTRY (best price 5-2) is your deserving favorite in the second race at Sandown, and has every opportunity to make it four in a row. The 3 year-old beat Cardano out time, who has gone on to score. I think he’s been slightly underestimated, although he has gone up from the weights following that race.
OUTBOX (best cost 6-4) should be much too great for this field and will delight in moving right back to 1m 6f. The Simon Crisford horse pushed King’s Advice at Goodwood earlier, all the way in the month. He did not finish too far behind the talented Corelli out time.
JUBILOSO (best cost 10-11) was flying when finishing third in Goodwood. She struggled to get the pack out, but if she did she was really striking on the eye and had a difficulty throughout the race. Sir Michael Stoute’s horse has finished just on her two defeats behind Watch Me and Billesdon Brook. She will probably go away odds-on, and prefers to be favourite in the race.
POSITIVE (best price 1-1)??finished the closest to the possible monster which is Pinatubo in Goodwood. Visinari was back in that raceand has eight lengths to find on Favorable which I can not see happening. I’ve been impressed with the first outings of Clive Cox’s horse in contrast to Al Suhail.
