CHERNOBYLITE 2 will receive less content – the reason is an unsuccessful launch
A couple of months ago Polish studio The Farm 51 I released in early access Steam, her new role -playing surviva Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone . The sequel did not start in the best way, marked by a low peak online (only 269 people) and a pile of negative reviews. In this regard, the studios had to go to abbreviations. As it turned out, they affected not only the developers themselves, but also the volume of planned content.
Apparently, the published early roadmap is now irrelevant, since the authors intend to significantly abolish each element of the game, including the plot and scale of locations:
Hi, three months have https://nogamstop-casinos.co.uk/fast-payout-casinos/ passed since the launch of the early version CHERNOBYLITE 2. I will not embellish – these were extremely difficult months, perhaps one of the most difficult in history The Farm 51. During this time, we analyzed your every post, each of your reviews and every video you published. We did our best to correct our shortcomings, implement your suggestions and expand the game with new content. We are convinced that thanks to you and your reviews CHERNOBYLITE 2 Today it has become much better than three months ago, but it is still not as good as you expected ..
The abundance of critical comments made it clear that we could no longer confidently follow the originally developed road map and just hope that in the end everything would magically fall into place. Trying to live up to the expectations of all our fans, we went too far and lost sight of what made you love the first CHERNOBYLITE. The past proposed a hard, mundane and free experience of survival. This experience was lost under a pile of limiting elements, enemies-gear for damage, forced cooperative and incomprehensible gaming mechanics. We want to return to this experience, but for this we need to take a big step back.
What does it mean in practice? Some elements of the game will be cut out, others will be completely processed, and some will be moved to a later stage of development. We will process and reduce the plot. We completely overdue the game and reduce the map to make the main areas more dense and interesting. We will darken lighting and soften the colors. In short – we want to give priority to the quality and atmosphere, and not the quantity and mechanical complexity.
I suppose that not everyone will like changes, so I ask you to give us an honest review of each of them when they begin to appear in future updates. Thanks to everyone for participating in early access. We really needed this experience. Despite all the upcoming changes, we will continue to do everything possible so as not to ditch your preservations and maintain your progress.
